Hi, I'm Will Ahlswede — a developer and creative who builds things for the web. I care about craft, clarity, and shipping work that feels intentional.
I work across the full stack, from database design and API architecture to polished, interactive frontends. My tools of choice are TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node — though I'm always picking up whatever the project demands.
Outside of Code
Outside of code, I'm into tabletop RPGs, game design, and creative writing. Those hobbies bleed into my work — I like building things that feel alive, that have personality, and that surprise people a little.
Working Style
I prefer shipping iterative improvements over perfecting in isolation. Small commits, early feedback, systems that are easy for future-me to maintain. I care about the details — the scroll behavior, the empty states, the error messages — because those are what separate software that feels alive from software that merely functions.
